Overview

Why not visit one of the Seven wonders of the world the magical Petra. The 2000 year old rose-red city hidden in a canyon in Jordan. Built by the ancient Nabateans and added to by Romans, it lay undiscovered for 1 000 years before being found in 1 812. And now you can discover it's splendors here for a guided tour

Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt

Tour Lifetime

You will be picked up in the early morning then you will be transferred by an A/C van to Taba dock which is far from Sharm about 230 Km. There you will take the speed ferry to Aqaba in Jordon. You will then drive again to Petra for about 2 hours. Entering to the city will be through the Siq walking or on horses. Siq is a narrow gorge, over 1 km in length, which is flanked on either side by soaring, 80 m high cliffs. Just walking through the Siq is an experience in itself. The colours and formations of the rocks are dazzling. As you reach the end of the Siq you will catch your first glimpse of Al-Khazneh (Treasury) carved out of the side of the sandstone mountain face probably in the first century B.C. Note: it is not permitted for the vehicles to enter the site. After the visit of Al-Khazneh (Treasury) you will visit the Roman Theatre which dates back to the Byzantine era then you will see the Royal Tombs. You will have lunch in a local restaurant in the city center. In the second part of your trip you will continue your tour to the hill of Al-Habis fort which dates back to Crusaders times, for a breathtaking panoramic view of deep gullies and uniquely colored rock formations. At the end of the day you will drive back to Aqaba port to take the ferry to Taba where you will get the bus back to Sharm El Sheikh.
